About W3C

 The What

W3C is a Non-Profit Organisation that was created in 1994. The organisation sets the standards for the web community. The organisation has helped with the way people and companies use the web as before the use of the web was limited especially on what it could do. The organisation is a Vendor Neutral Organisation meaning that they have no ties to any government or any corporations.

Standards

By setting standards helped the web community become less chaotic and sporadic as to how a website was created. One such standard is the recommended usage of programming language of HTML and CSS. Thanks to these standards that W3C created it has since allowed the web be fair and accessible.

Vendor Neutral Organisation

Thanks to W3C being a vendor neutral organisation it allows any and all web pages to be able to be displayed on any and all platforms. This means that it doesn't limit the standards and/or exploit them through monopolising the standards used by everyone in the world.
